Matt describes his experience of living in a new city as commented on in "California Candids" printed by the office of undergraduate admissions at Washington University in St. Louis.

“I think St. Louis is a great city. Going to Forest Park (across the street from campus) with friends and enjoying the zoo, the art museum, or just the park itself is fun - and free.  I originally thought that since I was going to be in St. Louis, I was going to be in a strange territory. That could not be further from the truth. St. Louis is a thriving city with a lot of fun and exciting things to do.”
