The Office of College Counseling supports students and their families as they begin the process of identifying colleges and universities that match the student's interests and academic abilities. Furthermore, we assist students as they make the transition to a college or university environment.
There are many excellent colleges. We believe success is not defined by the number of students who gain admission to a particular selection of colleges and universities, but rather by the appropriateness of each placement. The Office of College Counseling provides an exemplary curriculum that heightens and builds self-awareness, self-exploration, and self-expression among our students as they make the transition from high school to college or other post-secondary options. The program is centered on the idea that the college search should be an overall learning and developmental process, and as such, each student must participate fully from practical, responsible, and ethical perspectives.
The foundation for a successful college search begins in ninth grade and culminates in the senior year. The following are general guidelines to help you maintain focus and stay organized as you move from grade to grade.
