Graduation Requirements

To receive a diploma from Milken Community High School, students must demonstrate a high degree of competency in a wide range of skills, knowledge, and values.

A student must:

  • Maintain a 2.0 GPA (on a four-point scale) in both academic and non-academic classes. (Please see the Program of Studies found at this link - Courses.

  • Meet the graduation requirements specified in the School's Program of Study, available below and on the Milken website.

  • Compose and deliver a senior sermon, and set an example of leadership in our community. Senior sermons are written by the end of the first semester, and all seniors are expected to meet this deadline to be eligible for any senior privileges. The dates for senior sermon delivery are set before the beginning of the school year. The Jewish Studies faculty will establish the criteria for acceptable sermons and determine whether or not students have met the criteria.

  • Complete all the required hours of Community Service by the end of the Pesach break of their senior year.

All students are expected to meet the minimum requirements prior to graduation in order to participate in the graduation ceremony and receive a diploma.
