Physical Science is a “hands-on” class that enables students to learn, understand, and apply the basic laws of physics and chemistry to every day life. The main goal of Physical Science is to foster a love of learning while preparing students to succeed in the upper level science courses at Milken Community High School. Some of the topics that will be covered are motion, measurements, forces, fluids, work-energy, simple machines, electricity, magnetism, light, sound, matter, chemical reactions, chemical bonding, and solubility. The class will also emphasize critical thinking skills and therefore have a large lab component. Taking Physical Science in the summer is recommended for students who wish to maximize the number of science courses taken during high school.

This course fulfills one year of science requirement at Milken Community High School.
