Photography I

This course provides the student with an introduction to digital photography. In the first third of the course, students learn the basic concepts of composition and lighting in addition to learning how to take the best possible picture using the manual settings on their digital camera. In the second third, students learn Adobe Photoshop. They will learn to scan, composite, create layers, select operating areas, and image adjustment, with an emphasis on output to print, screen, web, and photo-digital media. In the last third, students will take the Photoshop concepts they have learned and apply them to several compositions.
