Writing Workshop

Writing Workshop is designed to improve and strengthen writing skills of middle school students in both expository and creative writing. In expository writing, particular emphasis will be paid to writing clear topic sentences, using supportive examples, and explaining the evidence. In creative writing, students will address the use of figurative language, sentence structure, and word choice. The goal of the course is to sharpen the student’s ability to craft focused, developed paragraphs that utilize rich vocabulary and a variety of writing techniques.
