Ramah California

Established in 1956 in Ojai, California, Camp Ramah provides year-round opportunities for campers, staff and program participants from across the United States and around the world to expand their own creativity, learn from dynamic teachers and specialists, explore being Jewish in today's world and experience the beauty of nature. Young people at Camp Ramah develop leadership skills, lasting friendships and a strong Jewish consciousness. Ramah is more than a camp; it is an extended family where friendships forged and experiences gained last a lifetime.

Camp Ramah is located in the beautiful Ojai Valley, every camper's summer will be filled with swimming, arts and crafts, sports, Israeli dance and Jewish music, cooking, self defense, drama/musical theater, ropes courses, hiking, camping trips and much more! Parents and can depend on our staff to help children entering 4th to 10th grade discover their own talents and interests and find the connection between the Jewish traditions and theirlives. Beyond activities, Ramah staff are trained to teach and praise Jewish values such as honesty, community, torah, honor, and God so that a summer at Ramah lasts a life time.

Jewish study is another important part of a summer at Ramah. Hebrew is spoken and learned at camp in a spirit unique to Ramah. Our Hebrew plays and engaging classes make both Hebrew and Judaism come alive! Jewish values underlie a concern for each individual and the development of a spirited and warm community. It's an experience that will last a lifetime.
